Now, you all know I do write descriptive poetry sometimes...but not ALL the time. And every time I write a non-descriptive non-sensory poem, I'm afraid of the criticism it might possibly get. Reasons: I get a lot of people (so-called experts) that tell me *imitates professional British accent* "in modern day times, what is most commonly and popularly regarded as GOOD poetry is sensory-detailed and descriptive in nature". Thaaaanks...for that.
Maybe...hmm, well maybe I don't give a flying fuck what's popular. Maybe I want to write the way I want to fucking write? Is that okay with you? Sure, I appreciate constructive criticism, but when people start TELLING me what's GOOD and what's NOT with fucking ART (which is completely and totally subjective, by the way) then I start getting pissed. Who the fuck are you to tell me what to write? I'm the artist, am I not? So let me write what I want to fucking write...okay, thanks. I appreciate that. *scoffs*
(Please excuse my profane, childish, and immature rant. I needed it.)
