Porcelain doll
With a beautiful smile
Believed she had a frown,
And that is why she wore a mask
A mask she thought had a smile.
And she walked around,
Talked around,
Sat all day and sulked,
And wished she had
A beautiful smile
Just like the fake mask.
But the porcelain doll
Was fooling herself.
Something had tricked her,
For the mask she wore
Was not
The facade of happiness
But the facade of pain,
Suffering,
Depression.
The porcelain doll
Was fine,
And she walked around,
Talked around
Pretending.
But what she didn't realize
Is that she didn't have to.
She was fine.
